Pack the Perfect Tailgating Kit

Are the kids hungry before the grill is ready?

Keep your favorite Pringles® flavors on hand for a tasty snack that keeps the fun going and that won't get crushed before kickoff.
You have the food and drinks under control as you head to the big game, but what about all of those little extras that help the day go smoothly? Use our guide to pack the perfect tailgating kit, so you’ll be ready for whatever happens. Start with a large plastic tub, fill it with these supplies, and then stick the whole thing in the basement or garage until you’re ready to grab and go!
Cleaning on the Move

Whether you’re packing sandwiches or firing up the grill, you’ll probably experience a few drips and spills before halftime. Be prepared for messes big and small with these cleaning basics.

  • Bounty® Paper Towels: With cloth-like durability — and plenty of strength and absorbency — these towels can soak up everything from ketchup to a spilled soda. And they’re soft enough to clean a child’s face or your own.
  • Mr. Clean® With Febreze® Freshness Antibacterial Spray Cleaner: Use this spray to help disinfect and freshen everything from the grill* to the folding chairs.
    * A rinse is required for surfaces in direct contact with food.
  • Trash bags: Keep a few on hand to easily dispose of plates, cups and more.
  • Tide® to Go: If you drip barbecue sauce on your T-shirt, you can save the moment instantly with Tide to Go instant stain remover.

A Portable Kitchen

Ever get halfway to the game and realize you've forgotten the forks? You’ll enjoy the day more when you know all of the basics are on hand. Preparing this minikitchen ahead of time will help keep your focus on cheering for your favorite team and spending time with your favorite people.

  • Plates, bowls, cups, napkins and utensils: Stock up on disposables, or invest in reusable picnicware that you can stick in the dishwasher back at home.
  • Salt and pepper: Use nonbreakable camping or picnic containers to help you spice up whatever you’re serving.
  • Pringles: Are the kids hungry before the grill is ready? Keep your favorite Pringles flavors on hand for a tasty snack that keeps the fun going and that won’t get crushed before kickoff.
  • Grilling basics: Think matches, foil, a spatula and tongs.
  • Plastic tablecloth: Cover a picnic table, your tailgate or even a patch of grass.
  • Hand sanitizer: No running water handy? Use a few drops on your hands before you eat.

Just-in-Case Gear

Stick a few more extras in your tailgating kit, and you’ll be ready for almost anything. These practical items help you deal with the unexpected and keep the day fun and comfortable.

  • Small first-aid kit: Handle everything from a blister to a child’s small cut with bandages, pain reliever, antibiotic ointment and cleansing wipes.
  • Small stadium blanket: Make those bleachers more comfy, or keep warm with your family when the temperature drops unexpectedly.
  • Inexpensive plastic rain ponchos: Weather a few unexpected raindrops, even if you left your real rain jacket at home.
  • Sunblock and spare sunglasses
  • Deck of cards: Provide the party with a fun pick-me-up, or entertain a tween or teen uttering that dreaded phrase, “I’m bored.”
