| It's easy to forget about cold and flu viruses in the warm, humid summer, but summer flus and colds are just as debilitating, and can keep you home instead of somewhere fun, such as the pool or a neighborhood cookout.

Washing your hands helps keep you healthy and helps protect you from picking up any summer viruses. Follow these tips to keep your hands clean:
- Lather up. Take the time to work the soap into a nice lather, and use warm water to kill the most germs.
- Wash your hands until you count to 20. This may not seem like a long time, but it will help you to take the time to clean the backs, palms and fingernails of your hands thoroughly.
- Dry your hands with a clean paper towel, or hand dryer. And, if you are using a public bathroom, use a paper towel to turn off the running water.
Keep your hands clean and protected this summer season when you wash your hands thoroughly and often.
