Five Steps to a Fabulous Outdoor Look
Flying to a winter festival? Zooming off to the race track? Heading out on a skiing trip? No matter how you're enjoying the wonderland of winter, you'll want to look your best. These five tips will give you the inside track on how to achieve the ultimate winter look.

Sensational Seasonal Skin

In the winter, sometimes it's not just the weather that's frightful. Your skin can get dry, flaky and irritated. To keep your skin looking great, apply moisturizer and sunscreen daily. Moisturizers seal water into the skin to help it stay soft and supple. Without it, moisture can evaporate and skin becomes dry and flaky.

Even if you can't see the sun these days, it's there, and it can do its damage by causing premature wrinkling and even skin cancer. If you live in a snowy climate, snow reflects up to 80 percent of the sun's damaging rays, so it's important to apply SPF to any exposed body parts.

Chilly Chic Fix

If you're spending time outside this winter season, the key is layers. If it's sunny and you start feeling warm, simply shed a few layers to cool down. Alternatively, if the temperature dips, you have the luxury of adding extra clothing without bulking up. For your upper half, try layering a long-sleeved T-shirt under a bulkier sweater and top with a down vest. A pair of long underwear worn under jeans works well for your bottom half. Just add your cold-weather accessories — gloves, scarf and hat — and you're set.
